Pachypodium namaquanum, also known as halfmens or elephants trunk, is a succulent plant of Southern Africa. The genus name Pachypodium is from the Greek for ‘thick foot’, an allusion to its swollen base, while the species name namaquanum is a reference to Namaqualand.
These examples are approximately 2 inches tall, 3 including the spines and are currently growing in our premium gritty succulent mix in 4 inch terracotta pots.
Plants may or may not be in leaf at the time of purchase. Available for pickup and delivery potted in San Francisco potted. Otherwise ship bare root without pot.
