ZZ Plant -Zamioculcas Zamiifolia

The ZZ Plant – Zamioculcas zamiifolia AKA Zanzibar Gem is a tropical Aroid from Eastern Africa.

It is rightly celebrated as the reigning champion of low-light tolerant houseplants and requires very little attention from owners thanks to it’s bulbous below-ground water-storing rhizomes.

Happiest in bright indirect light but able to cope with lower light environments. Allow soil to dry completely between waterings – typically every 3 weeks. Root rot is a risk if overwatered. Normal household humidity is fine for these plants.
